Since 2013, Wyrmwood has maintained an active presence on Kickstarter, the world’s largest crowdfunding platform. The platform allows us to get instant client feedback about upcoming designs, before they’re final, which we can integrate into development.
Once a campaign is funded, backer pledges allow us to plan production very efficiently, giving us a complete list of everything we need to build. That gives us the ability to offer lots of wood variety and extra options.
Kickstarter also reaches a large audience of people interested in supporting the latest innovations, in exchange for being first in line to receive what they helped us create.
Read on for an overview of all of our Kickstarter projects – we hope you’ll be a part of our next one!

Launched September 30th, 2013, this campaign is the one that started it all. Still our most popular accessory to date, the project blew far past our meager expectations. The success of the campaign turned Wyrmwood from a hobby to a full-time job (and then some) for the company founders. The Dice Vault remains available here on WyrmwoodGaming.com!

Launched June 23rd, 2015, nearly two years after the Dice Vault, we returned to Kickstarter with our Magnetic Dice Tower campaign. This time, we launched not one but two new products, and offered the Dice Vault as an add-on, as well. With the success of this campaign, Wyrmwood hired its first employees, and became a true company.

Launched October 6th, 2015, the original Hero Vault brought the concept of a case for your gaming essentials to a different form factor, this one suitable for RPG miniatures as well as dice.

Launched Dec 15th, 2015, this campaign marked our collaboration with Privateer Press on officially licensed Dice Vaults and Tabletop Trays for Warmachine & Hordes.

Launched Apr 5th, 2016, this campaign launched our innovative Sentinel Deck Box, which included a magnetically attached storage compartment for dice and tokens, and even a hidden compartment to store a Bluetooth tracker, in case your deck box was stolen or lost!

The Magnetic Game Master Screen
Launched Jan 24th, 2017, this campaign was easily our most complex, among our most innovative designs, and resulted in our most successful campaign to date. The Magnetic Game Master Screen was a series of modular components that could work with any RPG. More components are planned for the future.

Launched Feb 6th, 2018, the Adventurer’s Arsenal was a modular system fans had been requesting a long time – a larger, expanded capacity version of the Dice Vault. In addition, we offered hand-turned mechanical pencils, as well. This campaign shattered our records for both backer count and funds raised. An all-new Arsenal is available right now!

The Magnetic Dice Tower: Bespoke Edition
July 31st, 2018, saw the return of our Magnetic Dice Tower System to Kickstarter. The relaunch made one of our most popular designs even better: expanded wood options, unique engravings and strap profiles, and our first unique artwork collaboration with Deven Rue were all available.

The Lovecraft Collection: Dice Vaults from the Cthulhu Mythos
October 8th, 2018, we launched a small project which grew out of our Halloween website promotion. The prototypes and promotional materials our media team were just too good to not give a wider release, so we took it to Kickstarter.

On March 19th, 2019, we launched our Tabletop Tiles, a system of magnetic, modular tiles to help tabletop gamers – especially board gamers – keep components organized at the table. With eight distinctive designs, there were options for everyone, and most designs even featured a coaster on the underside! Tabletop Tiles are available for order now!

The Hero Vault redesign, launched on September 3rd, 2019, was a long time coming. With spacious interior options for minis and dice, an all-new profile and more, the Hero Vault campaign took a classic design and improved on it in many ways. Order yours here on WyrmwoodGaming.com today!

After the success of Lovecraft Collection from 2018, we knew we needed to follow up with an even bigger project for the next Halloween. Launched on October 16th, the project ran for two weeks and was one of our most backed campaigns ever, cementing the Halloween campaign as a staple in our yearly offerings.

On Tuesday, April 14th, 2020, Wyrmwood finally launched a project to create our own line of resin, gemstone, glass & wood dice – including custom sets designed by our friends Ginny Di, Satine Phoenix and Matthew Lillard of Beadle & Grimm’s! It also introduced our High Variance numbering on dice, which could change RPGs forever. Around 11,000 backers – our highest total to date – raised over $1,500,000 on Kickstarter. This marked the first seven-figure total for a Wyrmwood Kickstarter campaign… but not the last.

On October 11th, 2020, we launched our most ambitious campaign to date: a solid hardwood, fully modular, easy-to-ship gaming table. Despite models at some of the lowest prices on the market, the design upholds Wyrmwood’s trademark quality and innovation. Nearly 8,000 backers responded, raising over 8.8 million dollars to make this the 10th most successful Kickstarter project of all time!

The Corrupted Collection II: Moon Rising
Launched October 20th, 2020, the third annual Halloween campaign included Coffin Vaults, all-new Coffin Trays, and Wenge Art Trays featuring pieces by Frank Frazetta and Crystal Sully printed in full color on a synthetic leather rolling surface. And after the game, pre-installed hanging hardware on each Art Tray lets it function as wall art!

On April 27th, 2021, Wyrmwood returned to Kickstarter, collaborating for the first time with a fellow creator: Dispel Dice! All-new designs from Dispel debuted alongside gemstone and glass offerings from Wyrmwood, raising over $2,300,000 from 18,500 backers. And now we’re preparing to break a Guinness World Record together: the Longest Line of Dice, with one d6 for each project backer. Missed the campaign? You can still Pre-order here!
