Hello all,

It’s the middle of August, we’re back from Gen Con, and ready to talk about the latest news concerning the Modular Desk. Ian is in Pennsylvania currently, working to improve Desk throughput there to match the current production rates we’re achieving in Massachusetts. With me for this update is Nick Trepanier, head of Production Controls – effectively, the man in charge or determining what gets built when, and keeping all the various projects moving.

Key Takeaways

  • As mentioned above, Ian is currently in PA working to increase our throughput at that facility, to keep up with the rate we’re processing parts through MA. Early reports are that these efforts are progressing well, with no signs that we
  • Shipping was stalled a bit longer than anticipated due to the warehouse move, but we are picking back up. Production did not slow down due to this move, of course, so at time of filming we had 30 complete orders awaiting pickup, and 12 more due to be scheduled shortly.
  • In addition to the 42 orders that are shipping, a further 20 orders are entering production in Pennsylvania now, with more beginning in Massachusetts, so there’s solid progress happening on that front.
  • Ian is aiming for Pennsylvania to process 25 orders a week, effectively 5 per day, up from our earlier target of 20. He’s adding labor, training, and streamlining processes as needed to achieve this goal, and early results are promising.
  • The Monitor Ledge has been stuck in development, as you’re aware, but is getting ever closer to being completed. It’s particularly important because we’re starting to approach a point where all remaining orders have Monitor Ledges in them, so they need to be produced soon. We’ll be finishing up development and engineering and releasing this to production ASAP.
  • The PC Tower Mount shipment has been delivered, and we’re currently putting them through QC and specs verification, after which they’ll begin shipping! They should start shipping within days.
  • We’re nearing completion on the written instructions for Modular Desk assembly, as well. These will be released to print/download after one final verification pass, where we assemble a desk with all components using the instructions, and make any final edits necessary.
  • If you’ve moved since placing your order, or will be soon, get in touch to let us know! We want to make sure your Modular Desk reaches you safe and sound, so please keep your address with us up to date. It’s important to note that if you’ve updated your address through WyrmwoodGaming.com, this does not affect orders you’ve already placed! The only way to change the address of a placed order is by contacting us directly, so drop us a line at sales@wyrmwoodgaming.com if you need us to change that.

Next Update: September 1st

That will do it for this update! We’ll be back at the top of September with the latest news and updates. Thank you!
