The Lift Mechanism

The industry-first feature is probably the defining characteristic of the Prophecy for most. Gaming tables have always been defined by including a recessed playing surface, over which one can place a topper, storing a game in progress underneath. 

With the lift mechanism, you can raise and lower the gaming surface to whatever height you'd like via just a few turns of the cast-iron, easily removable handwheel. 

Play like you would on any standard tabletop, then lower it back down below the surface for dinner. After the meal, raise the surface up and get back into the game in moments. When not in use, the handwheel can be easily removed and stored. 

It's a feature you won't find on any other table.

The Lift Mechanism

Spill Resistant Dining Topper

Gaming tables are, funnily enough, designed with gaming in mind. Dining and spill resistance are an afterthought. The only tables that we saw while designing the Prophecy that offered spill protection tended to do so by offering a one-piece topper. This is effective, but tends to be cumbersome to handle and store. 

The Prophecy Topper is made up of five easy-to-manage leaves with integrated rubber gaskets at each seam, guarding against spills and completely overlapping the gaming surface. This two-pronged approach ensures that, should a spill occur, you have the time to manage it and get away from your game. Powerful rare earth magnets lock the toppers together, while rubber stoppers prevent it from sliding during use.

Reversible Play Surface

Typically, a gaming table includes a felt surface. While this suits most games, it isn't ideal for all of them – and it even renders many dexterity games impossible to play. 

Included with your Prophecy is a double-sided play surface in three easy-to-manage panels. One side of each features a moisture-repellent microfiber fabric, similar to suede in luxurious feel but not fragility, with a layer of foam padding beneath. The other side is constructed of hardwood, matching the wood selection of your table, allowing you to game on a smooth flat surface. 

Choose the surface for your game, or even mix and match the panels if you like, changing it up whenever you need to.

The Wyrmwood chair is a design years in the making, with several options allowing you to choose the best fit for your family or gaming group. It all begins with the seat, which comes in your choice of wood or padded upholstery. A seat crafted in matching, contoured wood creates a uniform, traditional piece; alternatively, the seat can be luxuriously upholstered with our durable microfiber in a color of your choice. This option allows you to match your chair cushion to the fabric of your Wyrmwood Prophecy, or select another color for a pleasing contrast. Whatever option you choose, the Wyrmwood chair will provide the comfort and support you need for long hours at the table.

Magnetic Rail Accessories

To further expand the functionality of the table, we've integrated a dual rail system for accessories like cup holders and card shelves.  A magnetic rail runs along the entire outer perimeter of the table, with a corresponding second rail on the inner edge.  Utilizing this innovative and intuitive system, you can add or remove accessories, positioning them wherever you need them at a moment's notice.  

Most rail accessories work on both the inner and outer edge of the table, allowing you to tailor your accessories and their positions to your unique needs, whatever they may be at that moment.

Prunus Serotina

Cherry is one of the few woods that one may wish to leave in the sunshine to darken for a few days. It will shift from a pale, pinkish red to a deep, warm, reddish brown. This color change is initially rapid, visible day to day, but slows gradually. Like most fruit woods, Cherry works easily and can feature vivid grain.

This dark grainy wood is strong, hard, dense, and stable. While it does not possess the pure black of some Ebony woods, Wenge is nontheless among the darkest natural woods to be found anywhere. Extremely popular and sought after, rosewood is the quintessential wood for inlay, turnings, carvings, and many musical instruments. Very hard, fine-grained, and crisp, there are many varieties of Rosewood, some sold under other names. All of them take beautiful polish and are considered fine tonal woods.

Deep black stripes play over the deep brown background in this striking ebony. While Macassar Ebony isn't nearly as dark or uniform as Gabon Ebony, it more than makes up for it with its deep and intriguing grain. Hailing from South East Asia, Macassar Ebony is a difficult wood to work, prone to cracking and exhibiting a great deal of wood movement, but the challenge is well worth it when you see the final piece.

The Card Shelf might be the hardest working accessory we have. Hold any size playing cards arranged however you like, keep other tokens or dice orderly in the two organizer trays, and do it all while keeping both hands free.

As if that wasn’t enough, the Card Shelf also freely swivels, allowing you to shield your resources from prying eyes. Don’t forget to dramatically reveal your hand later to let your friends slowly realize their utter defeat!

The Battlemat is a wet-erase grid of 1-inch squares or hexes, custom-cut to the interior dimensions of the Game Vault. A must-have accessory for RPGs, allowing you to wage epic battle, and map out encounters for your victims. Wait. Did we say “ victims?” We meant, “players.”

Yeah, let’s go with that.

The Acrylic Overlay provides a transparent, smooth, flat surface that’s dry-erase friendly – great for RPGs and dexterity games. Place any maps and terrain underneath to allow you and your players to make notes, plan maneuvers, and more.

Craftsman's Promise

A craftsman's work, a craftsman's word. Wyrmwood Craftsmanship is guaranteed for the life of the original owner. If your Wyrmwood Furniture lets you down because of any fault in construction or craftsmanship, we will fix it, free of charge.

accidents & damage

Your furniture may have suffered damage when a well-meaning brother-in-law dropped it off the moving truck, or when an enthusiastic pet mistook the piece for a toy or scratching post. In such situations, we will fix your table, seeking no profit; we ask only that you cover the costs incurred with the repair: labor, materials, and travel – but nothing else.

Your Wyrmwood Furniture will be with you for a long time, and signs of use may appear; wood ages and a lifetime of use will imprint its story on the piece. Some love seeing this history, but if you prefer to keep your piece as pristine as possible, we offer a refinishing service. We will arrange the return of your affected piece, perform the two-week refinish process, and ship it back.
