Hello all,

It’s a new month, and that means it’s time for a new update! This time, we’ll be bypassing the usual video, as we’re preparing for – and, in fact, now AT – Gen Con in Indianapolis! But all the usual information has been compiled for you below.

Key Information

  • We continue to ship desks! We did skip a pickup this past week, due to a major inventory relocation in PA. We have moved our inventory from our PA workshop to a warehouse off-site. Inventory storage was becoming a major issue for the PA shop, so this will help alleviate some pain points there. In addition, we’re consolidating all inventory kept in our MA headquarters at this same location, so from now on all Wyrmwood shipping will occur from this one location, which should streamline things and help make operations more efficient. The move is complete, and we continued to produce desks, so we should resume pickups this week, with this week’s pickup being bigger than usual.
  • We’ve been working on our pack and prep process, as mentioned in prior updates. As we increase throughput, this has become a bottleneck in our fulfillment, and led to some errors. We’ve been formalizing the process, and trained up another employee on this step, which should help address these minor issues.
  • Our production throughput has been increasing, as noted last time. We’ve discovered that, at this stage, our MA facility is outpacing our PA shop, leading to a bit of a backup there. Ian, our COO, will be heading to PA to work directly with management there to determine what the bottleneck(s) may be, and decide how to address them. The problem could be in facility capacity, or a simple deficit of available labor. The second is, naturally, easier to address, and it’s the most likely culprit. We’ll report on how this is progressing in future updates.
  • The PC Tower Mount is in the country, but did arrive a few days later than expected. It’s currently awaiting last mile delivery to us, and we expect to receive them within the next week. Once they arrive and are received, we’ll begin shipping this up.
  • The Monitor Ledge is progressing well. Final prototypes are being completed now, and will then be handed off to engineering for final modeling and tool paths, then, at last, they’ll be in full production.
  • In terms of our production, and when we expect to deliver outstanding desk orders: assuming we can fulfill at the current production rate Massachusetts has reached – and, again, this relies on bringing Pennsylvania up to match that rate – we expect to be able to complete all currently outstanding orders in about 6 months. Please understand, this is an estimate, and it’s conditional on both maintaining our current throughput, and matching that rate throughout our entire process. So this is by no means a guarantee or promise – but it is what we’re currently seeing, so we wanted to share it with you, now that we have an expectation we can feel good about.
  • We’re at Gen Con – right now! You can find us at booth #2719 if you’d like to say hello, under our giant hanging sign. As noted previously, we have new, final production Desks to showcase, and this is the first time final production models will be publicly viewable, so if you want a preview of what you’re going to receive, feel free to swing by. We’ll also have our other furniture lines represented, as well as some new pieces to showcase our new custom shop, known as our Signature Series.
  • If you’ve moved since placing your order, or will be soon, get in touch to let us know! We want to make sure your Modular Desk reaches you safe and sound, so please keep your address with us up to date. It’s important to note that if you’ve updated your address through WyrmwoodGaming.com, this does not affect orders you’ve already placed! The only way to change the address of a placed order is by contacting us directly, so drop us a line at sales@wyrmwoodgaming.com if you need us to change that.

Next Update: August 15th

And that’s it for this update – thank you for your support and patience as we produce and ship all remaining orders in the coming months. We’ll be back in a couple of weeks with the latest. Until next time!
