Hello all!
The mid-February mark means it’s time to check in on the Modular Desk yet again. A brief note: we’re forgoing the video portion of this update, as this month our offices have been undergoing renovations, and the studio was repurposed for some of our displaced staff. However, we have the latest information for you and that is below in text form, as usual. Thanks for bearing with us!
Key Information
- The first shipment of frames is still expected to arrive on February 19th. Our sourcing manager has been in contact with our supplier, and there has been no word of an intent to delay, so we are expecting those first frames to arrive next week.
- The Monitor Ledge is still in the final stages of development and engineering, but other items are headed into the production process as planned.
- The initial run of desktops is still in progress, with the run expected to reach finishing shortly. Everything is looking good on these, and we don’t anticipate any last-minute problems occurring, which is great news. These desktops should be the first ones shipped to your homes.
- In Pennsylvania, we are setting up all of the workstations and infrastructure step-by-step, in tandem with the initial run production, to ensure everything is fully suited. The Modular Desk represents much larger components than anything we’ve produced prior to this, so some specialized handling is needed, which is in progress now. Again, we aren’t seeing any flags or cause for concern, but the initial going isn’t exactly blazing fast.
- While most orders for the Modular Desk are complex and require many different line items, we could see the earliest simple orders starting to ship this month, as stated previously. We can’t guarantee it, with the frames still not in hand and some remaining infrastructure to pass through, but we do expect to be hitting our stride in March and getting all of the various components rolling through production to begin shipping complex orders.
- At that point, once everything is flowing through production smoothly, we’ll be able to reassess the timeline and give everyone an updated expectation regarding their fulfillment. We greatly appreciate your patience and support as we walk the Modular Desk through the initial production stages. As we all know, you have to walk before you can run… but in terms of progress, we’re seeing a steady walk without tripping or falling, so this is all looking quite promising.
- If you’ve moved since placing your order, or will be soon, get in touch to let us know! We want to make sure your Modular Desk reaches you safe and sound, so please keep your address with us up to date. It’s important to note that if you’ve updated your address through WyrmwoodGaming.com, this does not affect orders you’ve already placed! The only way to change the address of a placed order is by contacting us directly, so drop us a line at sales@wyrmwoodgaming.com if you need us to change that.
Next Update: March 1st
This mid-month update is another incremental one, to be sure, but we are perilously close to shipping the first orders out. We expect to be able to report back on March 1st with, if not word of those shipments having gone out, a firm expectation on when exactly they will… and it won’t be far off. We’ll also confirm the delivery of the first frame order, and give you all the other updated news on our production and processes.
