Hello all,

Here we are in the middle of May – let’s take a look at the project and see how things are progressing.

Key Takeaways

  • As we discussed last time, the first shipment has gone out, of the initial 6 desks. All of these have now been delivered successfully. The next run, 11 orders, are complete. We’re in the processing of scheduling pickups for these orders, with requests made. Typically, orders are picked up by our carrier a week or so from when the request is made, so we expect this whole batch to be out in the next 1-2 weeks, and some should be delivered in time for the next update.
  • The next batch of 12 desks has been processed through Massachusetts and sent on to Pennsylvania, and Massachusetts is now working on a new batch, batch #4. We’re close to reaching or exceeding our “10 per week” goal, and will be aiming to reach and maintain that.
  • In terms of items in development, Cable Management still has a bit of work remaining. It got pushed back slightly, because we needed to adjust the cubby system engineering, which also would impact Cable Management. We expect to resume and wrap up the work on Cable Management next week. Finally, the Monitor Ledge is in line after that. As we’ve mentioned, it was at the end of the list as it was the least ordered item, and thus impacted the fewest customers. Still, it should be smooth going once we clear up the other hurdles, and we expect it to be done soon.
  • The PC Tower Mounts have been a bit delayed, but they are moving through production. Currently, they’re being powder coated, and we expect them to be done in about two weeks, at which time they’ll be shipped to us, then shipped out to you ASAP. We’ll keep you posted on the progress of these in the next update.
  • We’re hoping to ramp up production to 20 per week, instead of 10, but we can’t do that too quickly. We are going to reach and maintain 10 per week for several weeks, make sure no issues come up, and then we can look at pushing more volume through. Still, though, early results are promising. We’ll keep you posted on our plans for the ramp up in successive updates.
  • If you’ve moved since placing your order, or will be soon, get in touch to let us know! We want to make sure your Modular Desk reaches you safe and sound, so please keep your address with us up to date. It’s important to note that if you’ve updated your address through WyrmwoodGaming.com, this does not affect orders you’ve already placed! The only way to change the address of a placed order is by contacting us directly, so drop us a line at sales@wyrmwoodgaming.com if you need us to change that.

Next Update: June 1st

That concludes this update – slow and steady wins the race, and we’re definitely reaching that “steady” point, consistently producing desks and lining up shipments, and working out the few remaining small bugs. We thank you for hanging in there with us, and are glad to be shipping out your desks at last. We’ll continue working to get more out each week, and increase the numbers once we’re confident in the results. We’ll bring you the latest at the top of next month. Until then, thanks once more and all the best.
