It’s the midway point of September, so let’s take a look at how things are proceeding with the Modular Desk.

- As noted last time, we continue to process 25 desks weekly through Pennsylvania, though we do have a very brief hiccup coming, while we re-calibrate our production in Massachusetts. Essentially, the big increase in throughput in Pennsylvania made it tight for Massachusetts production to meet every week. So, we took a couple of days to create a bit more of a buffer, so as not to risk a big disruption later if MA is short by a part here or there. In practical terms, this will probably only mean 1-2 days, so hardly a noticeable shift, but we did want to mention it for the sake of transparency.
- To date, over 100 desks have been shipped, while roughly 40 more are ready to ship now, and an additional 30 close behind them. So, our process is working and moving, and we’re excited to continue shipping more to you week after week!
- Friday, a handful of orders to Canada are shipping, specifically to the BC region. If your order is among them, you’ve been contacted via email already. Note that the email did read “Modular Table” – this was a typo, and this will be corrected in future installments, but this does indeed mean your desk is on the way.
- In terms of development, the Monitor Ledge is drawing ever-closer to entering full production. We’re producing our “beta” run, which, if all comes out well, will be the first available stock to ship. If they fully pass specifications and no changes to be made, we’ll be ready to enter full production very soon – which is great, because we’re currently producing orders requiring them!
- The PC Tower Mount instructions are in progress, and will be done as soon as possible, at which point we’ll finally be able to get these out, as well.
- As noted last time, the Mount Mount development has been halted, mostly due to the fact that there are perfectly suitable options for Modular Desk owners on the market already, and it makes more sense to focus on unique items we can integrate into our design than ones that others have already completed.
