Hello all,

A new month is here, so let’s take a look at the latest news for the Modular Desk project.

Key Takeaways

  • Shipments have begun, with the first 6 Modular Desk orders shipped out, and several, if not all, having already been delivered! We’ll be moving towards weekly shipping pickups in the coming weeks.
  • We’ve got the next 13 orders – more than double the first ship-out – nearing the end of production, which should be ready for pickup in the next week or two. A further 12 orders are starting production now, to follow those. We’re aiming at 10 a week to start with, and with then quickly work to scale to 20 after that. There may be a period of 2-4 weeks as we wrap up this current crop of orders and get our week-over-week shipments running, but after that point, pickups and production should flow continuously.
  • Desktops, both Standard and XL, are fully in production. The Cubby system, also, is now fully in production. The only remaining major component of the desk in development is Cable Management, which we’re aiming to wrap up in the coming week. With that nailed down, the only remaining development is on the Monitor Ledge, which represents a minority of orders. With Cable Management fully developed and released to production, we’ll be capable of producing about 90% of orders in the queue.
  • We’ve received questions concerning the production queue – namely, whether the “high priority” queue is still at the top of the fulfillment order. The answer is yes, it is. However, this hasn’t mattered all that much yet, due to our limited scope of production. As we were focusing on the earliest, “desktop only” orders, we only had about 10 orders we could build, across high priority and standard queues, and they all went into production. Now that we’re opening up our production, as noted above, the high priority queue will be top of the list, and will have a significant impact.
  • There has been solid progress the past couple of weeks, and we expect more to follow soon. We’ve been prioritizing the Modular Desk, and are aggressively pushing production forward to increase our throughput and get the Modular Desk out to you all as soon as possible. Now that we’ve moved into production, out of development, we can apply some pressure and scale a bit to speed up the fulfillment, and we look forward to bringing you continued news on that each update.
  • If you’ve moved since placing your order, or will be soon, get in touch to let us know! We want to make sure your Modular Desk reaches you safe and sound, so please keep your address with us up to date. It’s important to note that if you’ve updated your address through WyrmwoodGaming.com, this does not affect orders you’ve already placed! The only way to change the address of a placed order is by contacting us directly, so drop us a line at sales@wyrmwoodgaming.com if you need us to change that.

Next Update: May 15th

Once again, thank you for your support of the Modular Desk. We’re excited to have reached the milestone of having Modular Desks in customer homes at last, and look forward to many, many more to follow soon! We’ll be back in a couple of weeks with the latest news, as we work to get more desks produced and shipped.
